Welcome to theSheepvet Online
Resource Web Site

LAST UPDATED : May 2003

Our principal aim is to make reliable information on sheep health available to clients and owners in a way which will enable them to make effective use of veterinary services.

The site is managed and edited by veterinarians with combined experience of sheep and the sheep industry spanning more than half a century- who are regularly examining individual sheep and flocks.

If you are a sheep farmer (herder, rancher, producer or shepherd- depending where you are in the world) we would be delighted to hear from you. We will try to answer simple animal health questions, but please allow up to seven days for a reply.

For substantial professional advice including on diagnosis and treatment, we recommend you contact your own veterinarian.

Austbreed International Veterinary Consultants or

Sheepvet Australia

can also consult with you and provide veterinary professional advice via e-mail, fax, telephone or letter- on a fee-for-service basis. Please be aware that Austbreed or Sheepvet are only able to prescribe or supply restricted medicines for animals in accordance with Australian & local laws- which may require us to work in conjunction with local veterinarians.

Please check out our resources for links to specialist veterinary and technical services. Some of these also provide advice on the web.

Please let us know of websites providing information on sheep health or production you would like to share.

Veterinarians involved in treating sheep or attending mixed sheep/cattle/goat enterprises are invited to submit articles for publication on this site. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO INCLUDE LINKS TO YOUR E-MAIL OR YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS IN ANY ARTICLES SUBMITTED. We would appreciate your support in suggesting to clients that they access this site for reliable animal health information.

Website managers: We would appreciate links to this site, and will include reciprocal links to relevant sites (subject to our review and discretion).
